FC Barcelona completed their quest for the domestic treble this season, following their victory over Espanyol. The Catalan giants have ensured they finish at the top of the La Liga 2024-25 season.

FC Barcelona defeated Espanyol 2-0 at RCDE Stadium. The club's teen prodigy, Lamine Yamal, was the star of the show for the Catalans. He netted a stunning goal and also provided an assist in the fixture.

FC Barcelona clinch LaLiga title with an awesome strike from Yamal

Lamine Yamal scored a sublime goal in the 55th minute to give Barcelona an advantage heading into the final half an hour of regulation time. The teenager showcased his talent by beautifully curling the ball into the back of the net from outside Espanyol's box. In the last minutes of the game, he assisted with the winning goal for the Catalans.

The pivotal breakthrough came in the 53rd minute, the result of a brilliant passage of play. Dani Olmo, demonstrating his exceptional vision and timing, delivered a perfectly placed pass through the Espanyol defence. The ball found Yamal in full stride, who dribbled past a defender to unleash a magnificent curling shot with his left foot. The ball soared into the top corner, well beyond the goalkeeper’s reach.

Barcelona under Hansi Flick has not only exceeded expectations but has also emerged as the best European club of the season so far. Flick's recipe of blending youth and experience has done wonders for the side that is now known for its flair and intensity. Besides winning La Liga, the Catalans have also won the Copa del Rey and the Super Copa De España titles this season, defeating arch-rivals Real Madrid.
