Liverpool's long-standing full-back Trent Alexander Arnold had his eyes filled with tears after playing his last fixture with his boyhood club. The defender erupted into tears after the fixture against Crystal Palace. Liverpool played a 1-1 stalemate against Crystal Palace. Liverpool ended the season as Premier League Champions.
Trent Alexander-Arnold came on as a substitute for the second half as his team concluded their Premier League title-winning season with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Sunday. After the final whistle, the full-back took a moment to walk around the Anfield pitch but was soon overcome with emotion, shedding tears before his family hurried to offer their support.

"From the bottom of my heart I hope that one day the fans, supporters will recognise what I did for the team. There was never a minute I didn’t think about the team, since I was six years old, it’s always about Liverpool. To get the reception I got, means a lot for me… I never felt so loved! From the bottom of my heart, I hope the fans recognise the hard work I did over the years," Trent said.
The defender is confirmed to switch to LaLiga giants Real Madrid as a free agent in the upcoming summer transfer window. The defender was greeted with boos by Liverpool fans ever since the news broke out. However, he received a warm farewell on his last appearance for the Reds at Anfield as the crowd in attendance chanted his name as he donned the famous red for the last time.
The 26-year-old is expected to join Real Madrid ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup. The defender graduated from Liverpool's youth team and made his way to the senior side in 2016. He has represented Liverpool in 256 matches across club competitions. He has also netted 18 goals for the Reds throughout his career. He has also represented his National side England in 33 matches so far and scored four goals.
