Neymar Jr. is widely regarded as one of the most technically gifted players in the history of football. His exquisite skill and remarkable vision make it a pleasure to watch him perform on the pitch.
Neymar particularly shines in set-piece situations. The Brazil international is an excellent free-kick specialist, consistently aiming to curl the ball into the net. To date, he has scored 20 free-kick goals.
In a magical display during the 2025 Campeonato Paulista quarter-finals at Vila Belmiro, Brazilian star Neymar scored Santos' opening goal against Bragantino. The pivotal moment came in the ninth minute when he expertly converted a free-kick.
Since rejoining Peixe, Neymar has emerged as the team's key player, showing a revival of his talents after a year-long stint in the Middle East. This marks the sixth edition of the Paulistão that Neymar has participated in his illustrious career.

Following a disappointing year with Al Hilal, during which he was sidelined due to an ACL injury, he has now returned to Brazil with a strong determination to regain his peak form and contribute to Brazil in the upcoming Conmebol Qualifiers.
In a recent interview on The Grefg’s YouTube channel, he candidly addressed the numerous injuries that have marked his career.
“It’s not that I didn’t want to be king. For me there is only one king: Pele, and well, a lot of things happened. I had many injuries that cost me a lot in my career. God wanted it that way.” Neymar said.
The forward reached the final of Paulista in all five of his previous appearances with Santos from 2009 to 2013. He secured the title in 2010, 2011, and 2012, while suffering defeats to Corinthians in the other two finals.
Neymar's goal came at the back of a stellar performance against Inter de Limeira, where he delivered two assists and scored an Olympic goal in a landslide 3-0 victory. With this latest goal, he now boasts three goals and three assists in just seven appearances since his return.
