Despite being fourth in the Premier League standings, Manchester City has undeniably struggled to find their top form this season. Arsenal sat in second place in the league table and were proving to be a formidable force this season.

Manchester City, despite having underperformed in recent months, appeared to regain its footing in the Premier League. Both teams were in fierce contention for the Premier League top spot, actively pursuing their arch-rivals Liverpool, who currently hold the lead.

Matin Odegaard hands the Gunners an early lead

The Gunners took an early lead just two minutes into the match, capitalizing on a mistake by Manuel Akanji. Martin Odegaard found the back of the net as a result.

The chance was created when Ortega passed the ball to Stones, who attempted a risky angled pass to Akanji from 25 yards out. However, Akanji hesitated for a moment and was intercepted by Trossard. Declan Rice then smartly pushed the ball through to Havertz, who was onside thanks to Stones. Positioned on the left side of the penalty area, Havertz drew Ortega out before squaring the ball to Odegaard. Despite not having the cleanest finish, Odegaard managed to slot the ball past the covering Stones from about 10 yards out.

For the first time in two decades, Manchester City has conceded goals in under three minutes in consecutive games. Last week, they conceded a goal in the 3rd minute against Chelsea, followed by a goal in the 2nd minute in today's match.
