After being scoreless in their first three league games of the season, Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe expressed relief after scoring his first LaLiga goal for his new team on Sunday. In a 2-0 victory over Real Betis, the France captain scored twice in the second half to give the reigning champions their second league victory of the new season.

After a dismal 1-1 draw against lowly Las Palmas on Thursday, the home team continued to start slowly against Betis, even without Jude Bellingham, their midfielder, who is currently sidelined due to a leg injury. Meanwhile, a funny incident took place during the game when the referee walked towards Kylian Mbappe, he was shocked as he thought the referee warning him.

However, Mbappe's brace allowed them to eventually register a goal: the first came from close range in the 67th minute, and the second came from a penalty kick eight minutes later after Vinicius Jr. was hauled down. Mbappe had only scored once in an official game before this one, and that came in Real Madrid's triumph over Atalanta in the European Super Cup.

Real Madrid plays two back-to-back games

After Barcelona defeated Real Valladolid 7-0 on Saturday, Madrid's 2-0 victory moves them up to second place in the standings with eight points, four points behind champions Barcelona. This is Madrid's fourth straight winning season in La Liga under new coach Hansi Flick.

Meanwhile, after the match, Kylian Mbappe stated, "I've been happy ever since I arrived here."  "People have given me a lot of affection here, even when I didn't score, which was for three games. For some that doesn't seem much but for me, it was a lot!"

Meanwhile, Real Madrid plays two back-to-back matches. On 15th September, they play Real Sociedad and later on 18th September, they play their first UEFA Champions League match against VfB Stuttgart.
