Real Madrid's 2023–24 season was spectacular, but they had a very difficult start to the current one. Even though they won 2-0 over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup match, the defending European champions remained far from their best. Subsequently, the team's first league game against RCD Mallorca ended in a 1-1 tie due to a poor effort.
While neither Kylian Mbappe nor Vinicius Junior played to their full capacity, Real Madrid came back to win comfortably against Real Valladolid, winning 3-0. Toni Kroos, the former midfielder, believes Los Blancos will win the league this year despite Real Madrid's sluggish start. The former Bayern Munich superstar said, “Real Madrid will win the league, I have no doubt.”
Until the conclusion of the previous campaign, Toni Kroos ranked among Real Madrid's most crucial players. Before deciding to give up football, he actually had a major part in helping Los Blancos win another Champions League championship. Kroos played in 465 competitive games for Real Madrid during his illustrious tenure there, capturing five Champions League titles.
Not only does Kroos predict Real Madrid will triumph in the league this year, but he also believes that Barcelona as well as Atletico Madrid will battle it out for second place. Interestingly, though maybe not unexpectedly, Kroos believes Barcelona will end up lower in the table than Atletico Madrid at the end of the season. In other words, the German basically thinks FC Barcelona will come in third place in La Liga.
“This summer they've done a sensational job” : Toni Kroos
According to former Real Madrid footballer Toni Kroos' predictions for the Bundesliga this year, Borussia Dortmund is going to finish above Bayern Munich. Bayern Munich defeated VfL Wolfsburg 3-2 to kick off their Bundesliga campaign in an unpredictable fashion.
He said, "My tip is that Dortmund will finish second. About a month and a half ago, I would have said Dortmund would finish fifth if things went well. In my opinion, they have made very poor transfers in the last few seasons. But this summer they've done a sensational job."
