On Wednesday, a popular sculptor revealed a monument in Times Square, New York, dedicated to the five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, celebrating his 40th birthday. Fans gathered to honour him, expressing their enthusiasm by chanting his famous catchphrase.

Sergio Furnari designed the 12-foot-tall bronze sculpture to capture the spirit of Ronaldo, highlighting not only his achievements in football but also his role as a cultural icon who has inspired millions worldwide, as noted in a press release.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is more than just a football player; he is a symbol of perseverance, excellence, and global unity that inspired me on the creation of this masterpiece,” Furnari said.

The truck-mounted monument, painted in green, red, and gold, commanded attention at the Crossroads of the World, where crowds of passionate fans waving Portuguese flags gathered with fervour. They enthusiastically chanted their favourite player’s iconic celebration, "Siu!"
