The eighth match of the ongoing SA20 league was played between the Durban Super Giants and Joburg Super Kings at the Kingsmead in Durban on January 14. The Super Kings claimed their second consecutive win in the season by defeating the Giants by 28 runs.
Meanwhile, during the second innings of the match, Super Kings' star spinner Imran Tahir claimed the second wicket for his team by dismissing Brandon King. However, what caught the attention of the fans was his wild celebration after taking the wicket. Tahir began his trademark celebratory run, sprinting almost to the boundary rope. He celebrated with Cristiano Ronaldo's iconic 'Siuuu' move, leaving the spectators in splits.

Brilliant bowling display by Joburg Super Kings
Talking about the match, Joburg’s skipper Faf du Plessis won the toss and opted to bat first. However, the decision didn’t go in their favour initially, as they lost their skipper in the very first over for just 1 run. Devon Conway and Leus du Plooy steadied the ship with a 57-run for the second wicket.
With the help of collective contributions by the middle-order batters and small but multiple partnerships, Joburg posted a fighting total of 169 runs on the scoreboard. Leus du Plooy was the highest scorer for Joburg, scoring 38 runs. Durban’s bowlers were economical except Naveen-ul-Haq, who conceded 52 runs in his four-over quota.
Chasing the target, the Giants had a shaky start as they lost their first four wickets on just 51 runs. Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen stitched a 48-run stand for the fifth wicket, and it looked like the duo would take the game away from Joburg.
However, Sri Lankan pacer Matheesha Pathirana brought his team back into the game by getting the much-needed wicket of Klaasen. Following his wicket, Durban’s batting lineup fell like a pack of cards as they bundled out for just 141 runs, losing the match by 28 runs.
