When Alejandro Garnacho replaced Amad Diallo during the second half, he had been trying furiously to create opportunities. This time, he made the decision to handle things alone as he couldn't depend on either of his teammates. Garnacho scored a fantastic single goal after winning the ball around the inside right, cutting inside, and then shooting with his left foot from 18 yards towards the lower right corner.
Around the far post, Bernardo Silva beat Pellistri to head in a beautiful cross from Oscar Bobb that was six yards out. Pellistri was playing right back during the Community Shield final for some unknown reason, and because of his poor defensive awareness, Silva was able to tap in the ball from Oscar Bobb with his head.
Penalties beckoned for both the teams in this curtain raiser for the Premier League season. It was a great penalty shoot-out between the two teams as Manchester City won 7-6 penalties.
Both teams failed to find the target in the first half, but James McAtee, a midfielder for City, did struck the post on one attempt. Manchester United, on the other hand, came close with a brilliant team play from deep that saw them slice through the City defense like a sharp blade through butter. Mason Mount was the only player to miss the tap-in to provide United the lead, thanks to an erroneous final ball from Amad Diallo.
Marcus Rashford likewise squandered a fantastic opportunity to start the scoring in today's FA Community Shield match at Wembley against Manchester City. Together, Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, and Marcus Rashford effectively dismantled the opposition's midfield and defense.

Manchester City safe from registering unwanted record at Wembley stadium today
Manchester City participating during the FA Community Shield for the fourth year running, despite not taking home the silverware in any of the three previous years—2021, 2022, or 2023. The only team to miss out on winning the Community Shield for four straight years is Manchester United (1998–2001). They have avoided this unwanted record with a win today at the Wembley stadium.
