Andrea Pirlo scores wonderful free-kick against Tottenham Legends
In an exhilarating and much-anticipated charity match on Sunday, March 23rd, Tottenham Hotspur achieved a resounding 6-2 victory against AC Milan Glorie (Legends).
The highlight of the game was Tottenham’s iconic former striker, Robbie Keane, who put on a show of his talent with a remarkable first-half hat-trick. The match also featured an array of stars from the Tottenham legends, including Ledley King, Teddy Sheringham, David Ginola, and Allan Nielsen while Serie A giants AC Milan's team comprised club legends, that included the likes of Cafu, Dida, Cristian Zaccardo and Andrea Pirlo.

Tottenham's former legendary striker Keane opened the scoring off a beautiful assist by Aaron Lennon. Tottenham Legends got into the driver's seat as Jermain Defoe scored the second, followed by Sandro's wonderful strike that gave Tottenham Legends a 3-0 lead heading into the half-time.
Tottenham legends striker Keane went on to score a hat-trick against legendary goalkeeper Dida just before half-time. Tottenham Hotspurs enjoyed a healthy 5-0 lead moving into the break.
However, after the break, AC Milan legend Andrea Pirlo gave a glimpse of the premium quality he possessed when taking a free kick from a central position.
Pirlo effortlessly pulled off a blitz-curler, 25 yards away from the goal post. Even the goalkeeper appeared amazed at the quality of the free-kick. Tottenham Legends went on to beat AC Milan Legends 6-2 in front of a packed house at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.
The former FIFA World Cup winner, Andreas Pirlo started his career at Inter -Milan in 1998. However, his most beautiful spell came after he transferred his allegiance to arch-rivals AC Milan in 2001. He represented AC Milan in 284 fixtures between 2001 and 2011. He netted 32 goals for the club across club competitions. He was also part of the squad's UEFA Champions League exploits in two different seasons.
