After months of speculation, Tijjani Reijnders has officially signed a new contract with Milan, extending his tenure with the club until 2030. This new agreement reflects a well-deserved pay raise, acknowledging his performance that has exceeded the expectations of his original contract. Reijnders joined the Rossoneri from AZ Alkmaar for approximately €20M in July 2023, at a time when he wasn’t widely recognized or pursued.
Now, at 26 years old, Reijnders has elevated his profile during the current season, even amidst problems faced by the team. With his personal best of 12 goals this season and three months remaining in the campaign, the midfielder has shown promising signs moving ahead.

Reijnders to extend his stay at San Siro
Reijnders is set to more than double his wages, earning €3.5M per year along with bonuses, as reported by Calciomercato. The Dutchman has consistently indicated his commitment to a contract renewal in various interviews. Importantly, this new deal will not include a release clause, allowing the Rossoneri to dictate their asking price. Only an exceptionally lucrative offer will provoke them to consider a sale.
Mike Maignan and Christian Pulisic are the next candidates for contract extensions, although it remains uncertain whether Theo Hernandez will agree to a deal renewal.
The Dutchman shared brief comments with Sky following his signing, expressing his delight at the opportunity to extend his time at Milan.
“I’m proud for re-upping after just a year and a half here. This club feels like family. I’m looking forward to tackling the next few seasons. This place is my second home, and I’m truly happy. It’s a tough moment. We have to do better, be strong, and keep believing in our work.” Reijnders said.
