Ahead of the two UEFA Nations League games against Denmark and Serbia, injured players Dani Carvajal, Rodrigo Hernández 'Rodri', as well as Robin Le Normand joined the Spanish international team on Thursday at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas to offer encouragement.

Carvajal, Rodri, and Le Normand—three important members of the Spanish squad that won the UEFA Euro 2024 title in Germany last summer—will not be available for the "La Roja" in these games. Carvajal injured his right leg during the league clash among Real Madrid and Villarreal this past Saturday, rupturing his popliteal tendon, lateral collateral ligament, and anterior cruciate ligament. He came to the Ciudad del Fútbol on crutches as seen in the pictures posted on social media.

The midfielder for Manchester United, Rodrigo Hernández, will also miss several months of action. Like Carvajal, he had also arrived on crutches from an injury to his knee ligament. In the meantime, center-back Robin Le Normand suffered a craniocephalic trauma involving a subdural hematoma during the Atletico Madrid vs. Real Madrid match on September 29, making it impossible for him to make the team for the matches versus Denmark and Serbia.

The Spanish national team, who are now leading their UEFA Nations League group, will play two matches this coming Saturday, October 12, in Murcia against Denmark, and on Tuesday, October 15, in Córdoba against Serbia.

Ferran Torres set to pull out from Spain squad

Ferran Torres was forced to pull out from Spain's team for their UEFA Nations League games versus Denmark and Serbia, it was confirmed on Sunday. After suffering an injury to his hamstring during Barcelona's triumph against Alaves, the 24-year-old has announced that he will miss eight weeks of activity.

Bryan Zaragoza and Bryan Gil were called up by Spain's manager Luis de la Fuente in place of Torres. But because of his bodily difficulty, the latter is no longer on the national team roster. It has been agreed not to risk him after talks between Girona officials and the Spanish Football Federation.
