The Players Tribune published the whole letter under the heading "Letter to My Brother." Endrick begins by expressing his deep devotion for his younger sibling. He continued by telling the story of how his sibling was born the same day he scored a goal.
Endrick also told Noah about the lowly beginnings his family had before he was even born. He says he had a "amazing childhood," in spite of all the challenges his family faced, because of the sacrifices made by their parents. From his mother residing with him over his first few days after arriving at Palmeiras and finding a way to feed him, to his father doing everything in his power to send every bit of money as he could.
Endrick started by saying that, "In our family, we weren’t born into wealth. We were born into football. I don’t know when you will be reading this letter, but right now you are 4 years old, and our lives are changing very fast."
The Real Madrid forward said, "In the next few months, I am going to Spain to play for Real Madrid — yes, the team that I always pick on PlayStation when you watch me. For three generations, and maybe more, our family has chased the dream of football. We have been trying to change our circumstances."
“The life we are living now didn’t come out of nowhere” : Endrick
Fortunately, all of their efforts were not in waste because Endrick was able to relocate his family to an even safer area and eventually make a career out of playing for Palmeiras.
The Brazilian superstar concluded by saying, "But now, you can do whatever you want... there is no stress anymore. Thanks to god, mum, dad and football. You just enjoy your life how you want brother. That is my gift to you. Mother eating the old cornbread. Father sleeping under the ticket booth. Mom crying in the bathroom. Father crying on the couch. The life we are living now didn’t come out of nowhere."
