Manchester United are getting ready for their third signing of summer transfer. According to reports Manchester United are making a move to sign Colombian midfielder Richard Rios for 17 million euros. After ending in eighth position in the Premier League last year for the upcoming season Manchester United are aiming to make their team strong. 

Manchester United are looking to make improvements in the squad. During the Copa America 2024, Richard Rios had a good performance as he scored a goal in the quarter-final against Panama. During the recently ended Copa America, he scored three goals. In 2023 he joined Palmeiras from Guarani. Since then, he has made 82 appearances and scored 5 goals for the club.

After a slow start to the summer transfer window, there has been a many of activity at Old Trafford, with a handful of deals which are completed and many more in the works. The Red Devils have already signed striker Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and young centre defender Leny Yoro from Lille, and they are thought to be working on agreements for Manuel Ugarte and Matthijs de Ligt.

Manchester United are aiming to reinforce their midfield, and they are allegedly open to selling Casemiro this summer, while the club will not exercise their €20 million buy option for Sofyan Amrabat after his loan from Fiorentina last season.

Many clubs interested to sign Richard Rios

Along with having the most successful dribbles (18), the midfielder outperformed Belgian Jeremy Doku (16) and Frenchman Ousmane Dembele (15) among all top players who participated in both the Copa America and Euro 2024.

Richard Rios plays at central midfield and can also play in six different positions. He was an exceptional player for Colombia at Copa America. Along with James Rodriguez, he won the Player of the Tournament award. Due to this many clubs in Europe are looking to sign him. However, it will be a tight race for Manchester United to get his sign.
