Barcelona is hoping to get back on track as they play Brest in their fifth league phase encounter of the season in the Champions League after losing to Real Sociedad and drawing with Celta Vigo in their last two games. The Catalans have not played their best, particularly in their last game against Celta Vigo, where they let up goals in the closing stages. The team must have been shocked by this sudden setback.

Early goals have been a regular occurrence for Hansi Flick's team, and they did so once more in this match. Hansi Flick's team will now try to recover and play well. Although they are still leading La Liga, the gap between them and second-place Atletico Madrid has shrunk to only five points.

Barcelona is in sixth place while Brest is in fourth place in the Champions League standings. Barcelona is still the overwhelming favorite for the next game despite everything. Lamine Yamal, a 17-year-old Spanish prodigy, might not play, though, and his absence might have an effect on Barca, as it has in the past.

Robert Lewandowski scored his 100th goal in the UEFA Champions League during Barcelona's match against Brest at the Olympic Stadium. After just ten minutes, Robert Lewandowski gets the goal. The 36-year-old first won the penalty when Marco Bizot fouled him, then scored from the spot. It was the 125th time the Polish striker had played in the competition. He tops the tournament's goal-scoring rankings with six goals in five games thus far.

His 15 goals in 14 games also put him at the top of La Liga's top scorers list. Currently leading La Liga with 34 points, Barcelona is four games clear of Real Madrid, who are in second place. Lewandowski, who now has 100 goals in the Champions League, is just the first player in history to accomplish this accomplishment, after Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. With 90 goals, Karim Benzema is ranked fourth on the list; however, Thomas Muller, who plays for Bayern Munich and is ranked eighth, is the next active player.

It's a calm and confident penalty. Barcelona can now relax as they look to win the Champions League match for the fourth consecutive year thanks to this early goal. This is already within their reach.
