The firm was run by his girlfriend Cam Reading and her father. Unfortunately, they couldn't thrive and Scot may not be able to bail out his mammoth investments.

Documents reveal that the Napoli footballer, provided a loan of £1 million in cash and an additional £1.32 million from his investment company to Ashley Reading and Wag Cameron’s Fortress Capital Partners. He is listed as one of the creditors owed approximately £20 million following the company's bankruptcy.

On Friday, a bid by businessman Ashley to recover funds through a Company Voluntary Arrangement was rejected. Liquidators informed investors, including McTominay, that the likelihood of them recovering their investments was dismal.

“Our view is that this CVA is highly speculative. Creditors should be aware that there may be little return. We are unable to definitely say the proposal strikes the balance between the interests of the company and the creditors as there has been limited disclosure of the assets of the director and his family,” said Liquidators.

McTominay may receive as much as only £66,000 as per the latest reports amidst rising fraudulent allegations over his girlfriend. On the football pitch, the Scottish star is inching closer to winning the Serie A title with his club Napoli. It holds a three-point lead over Inter Milan with three match days to go. Scott's team has to win the remaining three games to ensure Milan doesn't steal their trophy at the last grasp.
