The Manchester United winger Antony may have played his final game for the team and is asking for a loan stint away from Old Trafford. According to reports, Fenerbahce, under Jose Mourinho, is still in the lead to sign the Brazilian winger.

Nevertheless, teams like Saudi Arabia, France, Spain, and Antony's previous team, Ajax, are keeping an eye on the situation as well. Manchester Utd is thought to be eager to move through a loan agreement with the midfielder, who has made it clear that he wants to leave. The transfer window for Turkey is open till Friday. However, it's unlikely that they will leave permanently until the summer of next year.

Two years ago, Antony signed a five-year contract with the Red Devils at an estimated £200,000 per week for a fee of £85.5 million. However, he hasn't been able to settle in around Old Trafford and has just played one Premier League minute all year. Although Jadon Sancho has since departed the team, the 24-year-old has fallen below players like Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo in the standings.

Antony has made 83 appearances for Manchester United and scored 11 goals in those games. Having worked with the great at Ajax, Erik ten Hag advocated for the signing. However, a loan move is currently thought to be the best route for him to revive his career, and Mourinho's Fenerbahce would be the ideal setting for that.

Antony set to join former Manchester United stars at Fenerbahce?

If Fred, another former United player, joins the Turkish Super Lig giants, he will be partnered with him. On October 24, they will play Manchester United in the Europa League.  While there is still time to sign a transfer for the winger in Turkey until September 13, Mourinho's team is reportedly hoping to complete the process by Wednesday night.

After taking over Fenerbahce this summer, the Portuguese manager is looking to improve his team even more. In addition to Antony, Ben Chilwell, the Chelsea outcast, has also been linked to the club.
