Premier League giants, Manchester United is reportedly planning to make significant moves in the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to strengthen their squad with the addition of a defender, a midfielder, and a winger.

Among the potential targets is Crystal Palace's star player, 26-year-old Eberechi Eze. In addition, the club is keeping a close eye on Everton's talented centre-back, Jarrad Branthwaite, after their previous offers of £43m and £45m for the English international were turned down during the summer transfer window.

Why Manchester United is looking for Players this early

Currently, Manchester United boasts a quartet of wingers, including the newly acquired Sancho, who is set to be purchased for a substantial £20m to £25m after his loan to Chelsea. Meanwhile, young talents Alejandro Garnacho and Amad are still developing, and Marcus Rashford's form has been inconsistent for a year. The €100m signing Antony has yet to make a significant impact, with his solitary appearance as an 89th-minute substitute at Brighton.

The Red Devils central defensive options have also been enhanced by the arrivals of Yoro and Matthijs De Ligt, providing manager Erik Ten Hag with 6 choices when everyone is fit.

The Club is planning to make some significant changes in their defensive lineup. Victor Lindelof will likely be released if he stays at the club beyond the January transfer window. Additionally, it seems that this might be the final season of Jonny Evans's playing career. There is also a decision pending on whether to extend Harry Maguire's contract by another year.

Looking ahead to the summer of 2025, United is planning to bring in at least one central midfielder. Christian Eriksen is set to leave when his contract ends in June, and there are uncertainties regarding Casemiro's future due to his recent decline. Both midfielders will turn 33 in February. The Club is also in need of a full back, following the layoff of Tyrell Malacia and injury-prone Luke Shaw.
