Former Red Devils midfielder and the Club's icon Paul Scholes predicted Liverpool's chances of winning the Premier League this season following their impressive start under new manager Arne Slot. The new Gaffer took over the reins of Jurgen Klopp and has started on a postpositive, SE, curing four victories out of the five Premier League Fixtures, where they dominated their arch-rival Manchester United in an away fixture and humbled them 3-0.

It was widely anticipated that Liverpool would face challenges in the absence of Jurgen Klopp, but Slot has defied expectations.

Paul Scholes Positive of Liverpool's Chances

Scholes confidently stated that Liverpool could play a pivotal role in the title race. He commended their deep squad and especially highlighted the exceptional quality of their forward line and midfield.

Scholes felt that the Anfield-based side has a good set of Five to Six Players, and the team doesn't have many weaknesses in general. However, he was sceptical about the quality of the Club's defensive line should Van Dijk or Konate get injured.

“I think Liverpool might have something to say about the title race this year. When I look at their forward players, I think they have five or six good players. Seeing Liverpool first-hand, what a squad of players, I see very little weaknesses. The only one we thought about was possibly if Virgil van Dijk or Ibrahima Konate got injured in the centre-half position.” - Scholes said.

“I see their squad, the five or six midfield players who can all run and are great athletes with quality. You then look at the forwards, and they can all play. The only worry was the Forest game, that threw me.”- he added.

Liverpool yet to face Manchester City

Liverpool's upcoming matches against both Manchester City and Arsenal could significantly impact the outcome of the Premier League title race. While it remains uncertain whether Liverpool will be able to contend for the title themselves, in these upcoming fixtures are certainly pivotal. Pep Guardiola's Manchester City has made an impressive start to the season as they strive to secure their 5th consecutive title, adding extra weight to these upcoming clashes.
