Four Premier League teams were involved in two separate competitions on Thursday night. Three of them were in the Carabao Cup, while another competed in the Europa League. Let's analyze how these prestigious clubs fared on matchday.

Arsenal, Liverpool and West Ham United clashed in their Carabao Cup Fixtures and Manchester United participated in a Europa League fixture in their backyard.

Arsenal through to the Fourth Round of Carabao Cup

Arsenal has advanced to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup with an impressive performance. Mikel Arteta made significant changes to the lineup, providing opportunities to young talents like 16-year-old goalkeeper Jack Porter and Ethan Nwaneri. Nwaneri seized the opportunity by scoring two goals, marking his first senior goal. Raheem Sterling also found the back of the net for the first time as a Gunner, contributing to the team's 5-1 victory. Despite a consolation goal for the visitors, Bolton, Arsenal's performance was dominant and promising.

Liverpool humbled West Ham United

Liverpool secured an impressive 5-0 victory over Premier League rivals West Ham at Anfield. Cody Gakpo and Diego Jota were the standout performers, contributing a total of 4 goals between them.

Mohamed Salah made a significant impact after coming off the bench in the 74th minute, adding another Carabao Cup goal to his tally with a well-taken rebound.

The match had its fair share of bookings, with West Ham's Bragaru receiving a straight red card for a dangerous challenge and Noslin being sent off for an off-the-ball foul.

Manchester United is still far from winning ways

Manchester United experienced another frustrating night as Christian Eriksen's early goal was nullified by an uncharacteristic error, allowing Sam Lammers to score the equalizer. While United showed glimpses of quality, their overall performance fell short of expectations. They still have a long way to go to reach their desired level of play.

Twente's Goalkeeper, Understall made two Astonishing saves towards the tail end of the match and helped his side snatch a point from the Premier League Giants as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
