For their Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United has added to young goalkeepers in first-team training. Willam Murdock and Elyh Harrison are the two young goalkeepers who got a chance to train with the first team. This weekend Manchester United will travel to the north of London to face Tottenham Hotspur.

Advertisment

Ruben Amorin finds himself in the middle of an injury crisis. During the FA Cup match against Leicester City, Manchester United suffered two injuries as Altay Bayindir and Tom Heaton were ruled out due to injury. While Andre Onanan kept his place in the team sheet. The injury in camp led Hunert Graczky to get his name on the bench for the first time since he joined the club.

Before being included in the matchday squad for the first time, the 21-year-old participated in pre-game warm-ups against Southampton and Arsenal. Although Graczyk is highly regarded in the academy, he is essentially the senior team's seventh-choice goalkeeper and only made an appearance because of an odd injury issue. Heaton and Bayindir both sustained injuries and Radek Vitek, the fourth choice, is presently on loan at FC Blau-Weib Linz.

Sixth-choice Dermot Mee was also sidelined by injury, while fifth-choice Elyh Harrison was cup-tied for the match after his loan stint with Chester FC earlier in the season. Eighth-choice Murdock participated in the pre-game warm-up, while seventh-choice Graczyk was benched. Murdock, 17, has been a consistent member of the Under-18 team this season since joining United's academy in 2023. When they visit Chelsea in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday night, the teenager, who has started twice, hopes to make another appearance.

Harrison will probably be included in United's travelling squad, and the team will aim to have either Bayindir or Heaton available for the weekend trip to play Tottenham. There are no problems with him being included in a Premier League team, even if he is cup-tied for the rest of the FA Cup campaign.
