Arsenal striker Kai Havertz has encountered an injury concern during the club’s training trip to Dubai. According to Mail Sport, the German international experienced the issue during a training session earlier this week. The club is expected to provide updates on the severity of the injury soon. If it is a hamstring issue, it may require some recovery time, but the team is hopeful for a quick return to fitness.
The Manager hopes Kai's injury isn't serious
Mikel Arteta will be hopeful that any absence from the squad will be brief, especially as the team is already facing challenges in their attacking lineup with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, and Gabriel Martinelli currently sidelined due to injuries.
Kai Havertz, who leads the club with 15 goals this season, plays a crucial role in the team's efforts to compete with Liverpool at the top of the table. Any setback regarding his availability would certainly be a challenge, but the team would need to navigate through the situation to the best of their abilities.
Havertz's untimely injury presents a difficult situation for Arsenal, particularly as they are also monitoring the fitness of Gabriel Martinelli, who sustained an injury in the fixture against Newcastle.
"Yes, he felt something, I think it was his hamstring and he wasn't comfortable to continue so we'll have to do an MRI scan tomorrow to see the extent of the injury," said Arteta.
"Tomi has done some stuff on the pitch, but now because it’s been a long-term injury, we need to see how quickly he can progress and how he reacts," he added.
This weekend, Arsenal faces Leicester in a crucial game, with the opportunity to narrow the gap to league leaders Liverpool, depending on the outcome of Arne Slot's team against Everton on Wednesday. Following this match at the King Power Stadium, Arsenal will prepare for their next encounter against West Ham.
