In the winter transfer window, one of the most talked-about names was Bayer Munich striker Mathys Tel. Before joining Tottenham Hotspur, he was linked with many clubs. But on the deal line day, he joined Tottenham Hotspur on a loan deal but the club made him a permanent signing by summer for 50 million euros. Tottenham Hotspur was eager to make him a new signing as they were looking for a striker who could take the place of Harry Kane.
Tottenham Hotspur posted a funny clip to announce Mathys Tel as their new signing. Other Premier League clubs like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal showed interest in the transfer window, but Tottenham Hotspur roped him in on the last day of the transfer window. Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic described Mathys Tel as “one of the biggest talents in Europe” when he joined the German giants from Rennes for 23 million euros in 2022.

Spurs supporters will be thrilled to see Tel's potential impact because he is regarded as one of the most promising young players in Europe. After his agent Gadiri Camara made the transfer to north London possible and Bayern Munich agreed to the player's request for greater playing time, Tel joined the team.
When will Mathys Tel make his debut for Tottenham Hotspur?
After completing the required paperwork and undergoing a medical, the teenage striker put an end to a spectacular transfer saga in which Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy personally travelled to Munich to broker the deal. Tel can demonstrate his abilities in the Premier League thanks to the loan, which also gives Tottenham more firepower as they try to move up the league standings. Tel joins Spurs, who enter Thursday's second leg of the League Cup semi-final against Liverpool at Anfield, leading 1-0.
They are still in the FA Cup and Europa League but are struggling in the Premier League, currently ranked 14th. Before their matchup with Liverpool in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Thursday night, Ange Postecoglou's team is currently in the bottom half of the Premier League standings.
