Ruben Amorim acknowledged that there was a communication gap with Marcus Rashford following the forward loan move from Manchester United to Aston Villa. Upon joining Aston Villa, Rashford made a strong start by scoring the first goal of Amorim's tenure against Ipswich Town. However, despite the issues at Manchester United, the manager consistently opted for different strategies that did not include Rashford, contributing to a decrease in his involvement with the team.

Marcus Rashford to revive his career at Villa Park

Marcus Rashford has been granted a chance to rejuvenate his career under Unai Emery at Villa Park, following a loan arrangement that features an option for Aston Villa to purchase him for £40 million. This development hints that Rashford's time at Manchester United may be nearing a permanent conclusion. As per the terms of the deal, Villa will cover at least 75% of Rashford’s wages, though no loan fee has been paid for his temporary transfer.

Ruben Amorim makes a shocking revelation

Amorim addressed Rashford’s departure with clarity, stating that the two were unable to reach a mutual understanding. When asked if Rashford had any future at United, Amorim decisively declined to provide any assurances.

“What I say is I couldn’t put Marcus to see the way you’re supposed to play football and to train the way I see it, and sometimes you have one player who is really good with one coach and the same player with another coach is different. I just wish the best to Rashford and Unai Emery, and they can connect because he’s a very good player,” Ruben said.

"Like we said before, we are fighting for our jobs until the summer, so I am just focused on these games. Thankfully Marcus is in Birmingham now with Unai, so you can take these questions to another coach. We are just focused on our players,” Ruben added.

With United gearing up for a crucial FA Cup fourth-round showdown against Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City on Friday, Amorim faces significant pressure to secure a decisive victory and stabilize the club's tumultuous season.
