Liverpool will play their home game against Bournemouth at Anfield on Saturday to resume Premier League action. With last weekend's shocking 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, Arne Slot's team will be hoping to recover from his first setback as Reds manager.

After winning 3-1 against AC Milan on Tuesday, Slot's squad was able to recover and will now want to make amends in the league. They take on a Bournemouth club that suffered their first league loss of the new season, a 1-0 loss to Chelsea at home last time out.

Liverpool's Carabao Cup match against the Cherries will precede their hosting of West Ham. The most recent news articles on Anfield may be seen here. Meanwhile, Liverpool's Standard Chartered Men's Player of the Month for August is Mohamed Salah. In the three Premier League games the Reds played before the international break in September, Salah notched three goals and provided as many assists.

Mohamed Salah might be replaced by Federico Chiesa if the Liverpool star decides to leave Anfield, according to former England full-back Glen Johnson. This summer, Chiesa moved from Juventus to Merseyside. According to Glen Johnson during an interview with Betfred he said, "He's come to the club with slight injury, so I think they're protecting him a litttle bit at the moment. Once he gets over this injury and is match-fit, then I believe he will help this team big time." "He's a player that works his socks off, charges around and a lot of the lads at Liverpool do that already, so he'll fit in just fine."

Mohammed Salah's contract coming to an end after this season

When asked whether Federico Chiesa could be a long-term replacement for Salah, he answered: “Yes. You don’t want Mo to leave, but with Chiesa there already and If Eberechi Eze was also to come in next summer, then they’d both be very good options if Mo departs.”

With three goals and three assists in Liverpool's first three Premier League games, the "Egyptian King" has had an incredible start to the season, helping the Reds earn nine points. Salah has been playing fantastically on all fronts. He recently celebrated earning his 100th cap for Egypt by scoring a goal against Botswana. Salah's contract is set to expire at the conclusion of the current campaign, therefore Liverpool is under pressure to extend it in light of his achievements and awards.
