'I feel..' Lionel Messi drops a hint about his future plans at Miami

Nearly four years have passed since Lionel Messi said an emotional farewell to FC Barcelona, an event that resonated deeply within the football community. Now playing for Inter Miami, the 2022 FIFA World Cup champion has frequently been the subject of speculation regarding a potential return to the club that has held a special place in his heart ever since his departure in 2021

Recent reports suggest that Lionel Messi may be interested in returning to Barcelona, promoting speculations about his future. This news originated from the same journalist who initially reported his signing with the MLS, which has led to various speculations within the football community.

However, it appears that these rumours may not progress further, as sources indicate that Messi's potential return is unlikely while Joan Laporta remains in charge at the club.

Messi’s current contract with Inter Miami runs until the end of the year, leaving his future beyond that uncertain. 

Messi reveals to be happy at Miami

In a recent interview, the 37-year-old global icon was firm in his stance, expressing that he is genuinely happy and fully enjoying this phase of his career without revealing any specifics about what comes next.

“My future? I feel good now and I’m just enjoying every moment of my career,” said Messi, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Messi expressed that he is currently enjoying his time with the club, participating in games, and spending time with his teammates, family, and friends. He mentioned that he is focusing on the present and enjoying the moment rather than anticipating future events.

It remains to be seen, however, if the former Barça captain is contemplating a move at this point in his career.
