Fabrizio Romano collaborates with Rajasthan Royals to announce Rahul Dravid's signing

Rahul Dravid has rejoined the Rajasthan Royals two months following his fruitful tenure as head coach of the Indian senior national men's team. The agreement was announced by the franchise as well as renowned transfer journalist, Fabrizio Romano. The Italian used his famous catchphrase, “Here We Go”, to announce the homecoming of Rahul Dravid. Romano also tweeted on Rajasthan Royals’s twitter post regarding this with the same catchphrase.

The former cricket player will lead the 2008 IPL champions in 2025 as head coach. According to a release, Dravid will assume immediate control of the team's head coaching position and will be actively involved in the 2025 season's preparations, including the impending super auction.

Dravid, who managed India's victory in the T20 World Cup in July, will be joining the team again for the very first time after 2015. Before joining the Delhi Capitals, Dravid guided and oversaw the Royals throughout the IPL in both 2012 and 2013. In 2014 and 2015, he also held the position of Director of Cricket.

In a statement, the former Royal Challengers Bengaluru batter spoke about taking on a new challenge after winning the T20I World Cup earlier this year. He said that, "I am pleased to be returning to the franchise I have called 'home' for a number of years in the past. After the World Cup, I feel it's the ideal time for me to take on another challenge, and the Royals is the perfect place to do that."

The former Team India Head Coach added that, "A lot of hard work and deliberation from Manoj, Jake, Kumar and the team has gone into the progression that the franchise has made over the past few years. It's an exciting opportunity for us to take this team to the next level given the kind of talent and resources we have at our disposal and I'm looking forward to getting started."
