Concerns regarding Endrick's early impact on Real Madrid rising, Carlo Ancelotti offered an honest opinion of the Brazilian wonderkid. Although, he joined the Santiago Bernabeu club with high expectations, the highly regarded 18-year-old forward has thus far failed to make a big impression. In 12 La Liga appearances as a substitute, Endrick only played 82 minutes and scored two goals.

In the Copa del Rey matchup between Real Madrid and fourth-tier Deportivo Minera, Endrick was given a rare starting position. The young player failed to record a goal or an assist despite Los Blancos' resounding 5-0 victory, which raised questions about his performance. Even yet, he continued to participate in Madrid's offensive plays, indicating that his overall performance was promising.

When questioned about a young player who is having to wait for a spark, Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti told reporters, "He had a good game, he moved well, he had opportunities, his movement is always effective behind the attacking line. He lacked accuracy, but his game was very good. And he was very dangerous on the right. He must be patient, he will score goals when we need them."

Endrick faces competition from other players

Minera advanced to the round of 32 after defeating La Liga team Alaves in the previous round, but it was impossible to overcome a team that is 20 times the winner of this trophy and is far superior, especially after Ancelotti allowed Vinicius and Mbappe got a chance to play in the second half. Nine minutes into the second half, captain Luka Modric added the fourth goal, and with two minutes left, Gler scored the fifth.

Real Madrid is still optimistic about Endrick’s future despite rumors that he would go on loan in the transfer window in January. Endrick gets intense competition from players like Kylian Mbappe, Rodrigo, and Vinicius Junior. Endrick will eventually contribute significantly to Real Madrid but it needs time and patience.
