Kylian Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid in the summer, has made bold remarks about his performances, expressing confidence that the team won't regret this decision. His determination to prove the club's faith in him is demonstrated by reports of his chat with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Over the past several weeks, Kylian Mbappe's form has significantly improved; the attacker now seems more poised in front of goal and more clinical with his opportunities. This change follows a difficult beginning to life in Madrid.
“No one will regret my signing. I want to win titles in 2025, that’s the mission," Mbappe told Florentino Perez, reported by Marca.
"I can score a lot more, I know I have a lot to give. In the last few games, I've played better, I took a lot of positives from the Bilbao game. I missed a penalty and I realized at that moment I had to give my all for this shirt and play with my personality," he added later.
The French superstar's first season with Real Madrid has not been very impressive; his early setbacks, like missed penalties against Athletic Club and Liverpool, have been low moments. In 23 games across all competitions, Mbappé has so far contributed three assists, alongside scoring 13 goals for Real Madrid.
Although these figures are commendable, still not up to the stature of his stellar last season with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). In 49 games during the 2023–24 season, Mbappé scored an incredible 45 goals and provided 11 assists. He was the leading scorer in the UEFA Champions League, the Coupe de France, and Ligue 1.
Kylian Mbappe appears to be getting in rhythm
Kylian Mbappe appears to be getting his rhythm back, though, based on recent performances. With four goals and two assists in his previous six games, he has shown significant improvement and the indications of a comeback. There is increasing hope that the 24-year-old is making strides toward being the threatening powerhouse Madrid hoped for while signing him, even though he is still not playing at his best.
As Mbappe gets closer to his peak, Real Madrid supporters may look forward to better days ahead thanks to his extraordinary skill and rising self-assurance. Real Madrid's next is against Valencia. After defeating Atletico Madrid they are in the second spot in La Liga points table.
