Luka Modric record

Even though Luka Modric isn't as well-known as he was at Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti still values him as a player. In his most recent match against Villarreal, he assisted. He had started three out of the previous five games. He failed to start Saturday night's match against Celta Vigo in spite of this.

But it was practically a given that Modric would show up eventually, and he did, taking Federico Valverde's place during the 63rd minute of play. By setting yet another record, he has now become Real Madrid history. He is now the oldest player to feature in the club's history, surpassing Ferenc Puskas (39y 36d), according to Cadena SER.

Real Madrid's oldest goal scorer, Puskas (39 years, 15 days), is another record Modric will be aiming for. It is anticipated that this could also occur before the end of his tenure at the Santiago Bernabeu, since he continues to perform at a very high level.

However, he did break another record tonight when Real Madrid scored their second goal of the day. As Vinicius Junior extended the visitors' lead for the evening, he got the assist. The Croatian captain has now become the oldest player in Real Madrid history to provide an assist.

Tonight, Real Madrid reached even another significant milestone as manager Carlo Ancelotti guided the team in their 200th league game. The reigning La Liga winners defeated Celta Vigo 2-0 away from home, setting numerous records.

Luka Modric’s glorious accomplishments at Real Madrid

Two weeks prior to his 27th birthday in 2012, Luka Modrić signed with Real Madrid. He is now the most accomplished player in the club's history, having won 27 championships while wearing the white shirt.

The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder credits his longevity to his healthy lifestyle, strong genes, rigorous training, and competition from young Real Madrid players who push him to get better in order to earn a spot in the squad.
