The Dutchman had been spotted in several matches of the Eredivisie, the Netherlands' top flight. He is in talks with multiple clubs for his next managerial opportunity.

He has been associated with various opportunities, including positions at Borussia Dortmund and his former club Ajax. However, a move to Germany seems to be a plausible option for him.

As reported by The Athletic, he has made Bayer Leverkusen's shortlist as they seek a successor to Xabi Alonso. However, the Dutchman appears adamant about returning to the Premier League.

Xabi Alonso is set to depart from his Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen. The manager had a fairly successful stint with the club, having led them to the Bundesliga crown. He is rumoured to join the Galacticos next season.

"There are so many other things I could do, maybe in football, in a new position as a manager. That’s an option. Or maybe something completely different. I've been working with my brothers lately. We have our own company. Or rather, they have their own company. But we also run a company together with our father. That’s also something I love to do. I can now give that more attention and it's also a lot of fun." Erik Ten Hag said about his future.

Erik Ten Hag joined Manchester United from Ajax in 2022. He led the side to a League Cup and FA Cup victory in the first two seasons. He was sacked in the last season following a string of bad performances and was replaced by Ruben Amorim.
