The Red Devils star Jadon Sancho is making headlines with reports claiming that the Manchester United star, is currently on loan at Stanford Bridge, and has expressed his desire to return to Signal Iduna Park in the coming summer transfer window.
As per the reports from Bild, the 25-year-old English prolific winger wants to return to his beloved Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. The winger has failed to make much impact on his loan spell at Stanford Bridge. However, several reports claim that Chelsea is interested in signing him on a permanent transfer deal.
Jadon Sancho wants to rejoin Borussia Dortmund
Sancho expressed his desire to rejoin Borussia Dortmund. He reportedly has submitted a transfer request to the Red Devils' management to return to Signal Iduna Park. Reports indicate that the Blues have an opportunity to secure the permanent signing of Sancho for a fee of €30 million, provided they finish in at least 14th place in the Premier League. Alternatively, they can opt out of this obligation by paying the Manchester United a fee of €6 million.
According to BILD, the likelihood of Chelsea activating their obligation in order to purchase Sancho is nearly impossible as his value continues to decline at Stamford Bridge. His difficulties have reignited speculations of a possible return to Dortmund, who are also having a forgettable season. They currently sit in 11th place in the Bundesliga.
Borussia Dortmund sold Jadon Sancho to Manchester United for a mammoth deal of €85 million. Jadon Sancho initiated his career at Signal Iduna Park in 2017. He made 108 appearances for the club between 2017 and 2021 and netted 38 goals. However, his much-anticipated transfer to Manchester United didn't go as well as it was planned. He scored 9 goals in 58 appearances for the Red Devils and only 2 for the Blues at Stanford Bridge this season.
