After his stunning strike against Fulham, Cole Palmer shattered an amazing goal record that had stood for 23 years at Chelsea. In the West London derby at Stamford Bridge, the England international drew the first blood. He sent a left-footed curler past Bernd Leno after gliding past a sea of Fulham players with ease.
Cole Palmer picked it up on the half turn, took a few steps into the box, and then, with a shot that was almost comically low in power, just rolled the ball into the net. All of us have witnessed players sidefoot a goal, but we can't recall ever seeing one done so casually. The goalkeeper couldn't reach it since it was so accurate and went between a defender's knees. Palmer practically made fun of the stopper.

With fewer than ten minutes remaining, Fulham was given continuous chances by their opponents and they fell apart. 13 years have passed since they last scored or won here, with the most recent victory occurring in 1979. When Muniz scored in the dying seconds, Fulham supporters were enjoying a point hard-earned, thanks to the goal scored by Harry Wilson.

Cole Palmer keeps raising the bar high
Even after Palmer's goal broke the Chelsea record established by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink in 2001 and became his 26th Premier League goal of the year, Chelsea never felt at ease. Fulham secured their first victory at Stamford Bridge in the last 45 years by pursuing at least a point relentlessly and getting full value for their desire. They overcame the deficit to defeat Chelsea by 2-1.
