Tottenham Hotspur scripted history by winning their second European trophy. Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester United in the finals of UEFA Europa League 2025.
In a ravaged and closely contested affair, Tottenham Hotspur defeated Manchester United with a slender scoreline of 1-0. The title also marked their first major silverware in 17 years.

Tottenham Hotspur's wild UEL trophy celebrations
Following their victory at Saint Mames, the team erupted into wild celebrations. Tottenham Hotspur's long standing South Korean captain Son Heung Min received the UEL trophy and celebrated wildly with his teammates.The team posed before the cameras with the UEL trophy. The entire team danced and celebrated on the pitch in front of their fans in the stands.
Earlier Ange Postecoglou's men were involved in a heated matchup with the Red Devils. The match was evenly poised 0-0 till the 41st point. Tottenham Hotspur took lead in the 42nd minute via Brennan Johnson off a perfect cross by Pape Sarr. Manchester United grew into the match as they attempted numerous equaliser attempts.
The Red Devils came agonisingly close to drawing levels in the 68th minute when Rasmus Hojlund's header beat Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper but was brilliantly cleared by defender Micky van de Ven from the goalline. Tottenham Hotspur's goalkeeper Vicario also delivered a top performance to contain Manchester United's shots and chances.
The result ensured Manchester United's horrendous season ended on an even miserable note. The Red Devils are not only enduring Premier League season sitting 16th in the table but will also end the season without any trophy. The Red Devils will also not feature in any European competitions next season.
