Emiliano Martinez reacted to the ban sustained from FIFA with a social media post. The star player was found guilty for an inappropriate celebration against Chile similar to the one which he pulled off in the FIFA World Cup 2022 final. After an unforgivable move against a cameraman after the game against Colombia, Martinez was banned from 2 matches by FIFA.

The Argentine star took to Instagram and reacted to the ban he got from FIFA. The star goalkeeper wrote he would accept the saction and aplogized for his actions in case he offended anyone. He claimed his way of celebrate was to make kids smile and not to disrespect anyone in any sorts.

"I accept the sanction from FIFA and I apologize if I offended anyone, the moment of celebration is to make many kids smile and not to disrespect anyone," wrote Martinez. He was sad for not being able to be with his friends and represent Argentina in the next two matches.

'It was never my intention to disrespect anyone' - Emiliano Martinez

"I will support my friends on this FIFA date with the pain of not being able to be there," added Emi in his statement. Emiliano Martinez confirmed that he never intended to hurt feelings of anyone and felt he did not understand how it was offensive when it was received well by many across the globe.

Emi had a bit of a sad tone in his text as he claimed to not bring any celebration in the upcoming days. He claimed to focus just on winning matches and titles for Argentina and Aston Villa. The fans reacted to it and had mixed opinions. While many felt he had a right thought, others felt he should tone down.

"It was never my intention to disrespect anyone, nor did I understand that a gesture well received by people was offensive, but I will try not to offend anyone anymore and just focus on winning titles with Argentina and Aston Villa," the Argentine national star concluded on his statement.
