As per reports from The Athletic, Carlo Ancelotti has communicated to members of the Real Madrid dressing room his plan to leave the club. The report indicates that he is expected to complete the current season before assuming his new role with the Brazil national team in June.

Carlo Ancelotti may end his second spell at Real Madrid without a trophy. The Galacticos are already out of the UEFA Champions League and lost the Copa Del Rey finals to arch-rivals Barcelona. They sit second in the La Liga standings with 5 matches left in the season. Despite a dismal season, Ancelotti's exploits in his second stint cannot be forgotten. He won the UCL and La Liga twice each after 2021.

Ancelotti's contract is set to expire in 2026; however, reports indicate that he will depart within the next month. This means he will not lead the team during Madrid's attempt to compete for the Club World Cup scheduled for mid-June.

Carlo Ancelotti will try to keep his team in the hunt for the La Liga title when Real Madrid takes on Celta Vigo in their next match. More clarity on the topic will be reached once the season concludes.
