Liverpool were confirmed as the Premier League champions after they defeated Tottenham Hotspur 5-1 at the Anfield. The Reds won the English crown for the 20th time in history.
Liverpool has by far been the most dominant English side this season. The Reds have won 25 of their 32 Premier League games this season and secured the title a month before the end of the season.
Arne Slot chanted Jurgen Klopp's name
Following Liverpool's commanding 5-1 victory over Tottenham, which clinched the Premier League title, manager Arne Slot led the crowd at Anfield in chanting Klopp's name. This moment came nearly a year after the German had done something quite similar for the Dutchman before he assumed the managerial position.
The current Premier League-winning manager sang Klopp's name and rallied the crowd to join him. The jam-packed Anfield stadium joined the chants to pay tribute to the club's iconic manager Jurgen Klopp who laid the foundation of the current generation's squad before leaving his managerial duties. Jurgen Klopp joined Liverpool as manager in 2015. He led the Reds to one Premier League and one Champions League title during his reign.
Arne Slot was tasked with the role of filling a huge void when Jurgen Klopp left last year. The Dutchman has done a remarkable job by winning the Premier League title in his first year of contract. He would hope to repeat this season's heroics on a larger scale in the upcoming new season.
Despite losses in the UEFA Champions League and Carabao Cup, Slot ensured the team did not go down without silverware this season. With two key players - Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk's contract extension, Slot will be eyeing for greater European glory in 2025-26.
