Brazil's National football team has parted ways with their national team head coach, Dorival Junior, after a string of disappointing performances over the course of 14 months. Dorival was sacked after Brazil's 4-1 loss to arch-rivals Argentina in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers.
Brazil had failed to perform their best under Dorival Junior. The head coach's overall record reflects the same story to their fans. His squad selection has also faced scrutiny many times, including the team he selected for the last international break.

Dorival led Brazil in 16 matches, winning and losing 7-a-piece, while two games ended in a draw. The team scored 25 goals and conceded 17 during his tenure. The team failed to win the Copa America under his guidance. They crashed out in the quarter-finals, losing to Uruguay on penalties.
“The confederation announces that Dorival Júnior’s cycle is over. From now on, we will work on the search for a substitute. Much has been said about (the confederation) contacting A, B or C coach, but I should say that (comment) was never coming from this president or anyone that the president authorized.” Rodrigues said.
Brazilian national team will be coached by interim manager Ramon Menezes. The re-elected head of the Brazilian Confederation, Rodrigues, asserted Real Madrid's gaffer Carlo Ancelotti to be the next manager for Brazil back in 2023.
Brazil last had three coaches between World Cups before winning its most recent title in 2002. Luiz Felipe Scolari was appointed as coach one year ahead of the tournament hosted in Japan and South Korea.
As per the reports of local media, Rodrigues plans to approach Carlo Ancelotti again, while Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus is also under consideration. If a deal is reached with either the Italian or the Portuguese coach, he would become Brazil’s first foreign coach.
Brazil currently sits in the 4th position in the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers. Brazil will next take on Ecuador in the international break scheduled in June.
