According to a number of sources, his alcohol consumption has increased over this period which might be a cause of concern for Real Madrid, France and his loved ones. There is no official news on whether Mbappe has admitted suffering from mental or physical fatigue as well.

After contacting people close to Mbappe, a French publication said that psychological issues were the main cause of the France international's poor performance lately. The Real Madrid forward's poor play in the second period of the last season may be explained by the numerous incidents he has experienced this season, which may be causing his burdens to mount and preventing him from performing well on the field.
