According to Christian Falk of Sport Bild, Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich is debating whether to hire Erik ten Hag as manager of Manchester United this summer. At the end of the season, the Germans will be parting ways with Thomas Tuchel, and they are searching for a worthy replacement. The manager of the Red Devils has emerged as a possible choice.

After a lacklustre season, Ten Hag is facing criticism at Man United, and his position at Old Trafford is not entirely assured. Despite his difficulties at among the largest clubs in the world, the Dutchman still has supporters at Bayern, and based on the appearance of things, his outstanding work at Ajax speaks for itself.

The departing Bayern manager is one of the several managers that Manchester United is continuously linked to. The former manager of Chelsea is open to taking over as Man United's next manager, but he is reluctant to speak with their agents until after next week's second leg in their Champions League semifinal match against Real Madrid.

Having six Champions League medals under their belt, Bayern is among the biggest clubs of the world. If they come calling, Ten Hag won't think twice about joining them. Nevertheless, there are a few reasons why Tuchel might not be the best choice in his place.

Erik Ten Hag reacts to Jadon Sancho’s brilliant performance.

Erik ten Hag claims that Jadon Sancho's success during his loan at Borussia Dortmund benefits Manchester United. After being publicly accused by Erik ten Hag of fabricating his withdrawal out of the matchday squad versus Arsenal in September, Sancho was dismissed from his parent side on August 26. He hasn't made an appearance for his parent team on the pitch since.

Ten Hag spoke about Jadon Sancho’s performance in the UEFA Champions League as he said, “So let’s say this: yesterday he played very good and I already talked about, he’s a very good player,” Ten Hag said. “Yesterday he showed why Manchester United bought him and he showed also he represents a high value for Manchester United, which is good."
