The AC Milan forward Alvaro Morata and his spouse Alice Campello have called it quits on their eight-year marriage, during which they raised four children together. Campello watched Morata lead Spain to victory in the 2024 European Championship against England, but the two have since chosen to part ways. Despite love always being at the core, the couple acknowledged that their miscommunications were the cause of their divorce.

Alice Campello and Alvaro Morata informed their supporters of their intention to split last August 12th through a statement posted on their own social media accounts. Campello has disclosed that the separation was partially caused by postpartum depression after the birth of their fourth child.

She also acknowledged that the frequent disruption of family life caused by Morata's stints at Real Madrid, Chelsea, Juventus, and Atletico Madrid before his Milan move was challenging to cope with.

Alvaro Morata's transfer to Milan was the reason for their divorce

After meeting Alice Campello, an Italian model, during his first stint with Juventus in 2014–15, Morata married him in 2017. Now that he's back in Serie A, his young family is still in Spain. Four children, Alessandro and Leonardo, ages six and four, respectively, and Bella, one, were born to the couple, who had been together since 2016.

When Alvaro Morata shocked everyone by declaring he and his wife Alice Campello had split up, the influencer indicated that they were getting back together.

It was believed that they announced their split shortly after Morata's transfer to Milan, citing her Italian heritage as the reason for her reluctance to leave Madrid. Although it raises the possibility that one of the main barriers may be overcome, it does not imply that the couple is getting back together or that the relocation is permanent.

They initially crossed paths in 2014–16 while Morata was on his first loan at Juventus in Italy. From 2020–2022, he was back in Turin. He has had to often relocate between Turin, London, Madrid, and Milan with his new team AC Milan
