Ubisoft planning to keep Rainbow Six Siege around for another decade with Siege X

Rainbow Six Siege is among the most popular esports titles and one of the best games developed by Ubisoft. The game was launched back in 2015 and will complete its 10th anniversary this year in December. However, the developers behind the game have made a special announcement teasing Rainbow Six Siege X.

Taking the stage during the grand finals of Six Invitational, Ubisoft released a short teaser for R6 Siege X, something they call a ‘new ear of Siege’. With this initiative, the company plans to keep the game running for another decade with some major overhauls with more details coming on March 13th, a week ahead of Assassin’s Creed Shadows release.

“It is not Siege 2, and it’s not just another update. It’s a major evolution. We’re expanding and reinforcing the very foundation of Siege to ensure it remains the pinnacle of tactical PvP first-person shooters. This means major graphical and audio upgrades, a refined game-feel, and new ways to enjoy the game, all while staying true to what makes the core of Siege so special,” Mills said.

Same old R6 Siege with a new coat of paint

Rainbow Six Siege isn’t perfect but is a good game which is why people keep coming back. While Ubisoft has kept things under wraps, they did give an aforementioned overview. The graphics and audio updates are usually done to keep the game on par with new releases and attract more people,

By the looks of it, there is also going to be a general overhaul and new additions. Few people got to have a chance to get a first look at the Siege X update game with more details coming within a month.

What is Rainbow Six Siege X?

Rainbow Six Siege X is the same game as the original Rainbow Six Siege but features some major overhauls across different aspects. Ubisoft promises that these changes will keep the core gameplay the same but also different at the same time.
