A few days back, Call of Duty players were up in arms about the Recon Combat Specialty in Black Ops 6. The ability allowed players to get free infinite wall hacks for a short duration after death. As per its description, the intended purpose seems to be avoiding players hiding a spot, however, the community does not like this ability.

After people were getting shot across the map through walls, the community banded together to have the ability nerfed and quickly received a response saying a nerf was incoming. A day later the ability was nerfed along with other changes, however, players are still not happy.

The Recon Combat Specialty allows players to see opponents through a wall for 2 seconds, following the Nerf, the duration was reduced to 1.5 seconds which frankly doesn’t really do much as a decent player can still take full advantage of this.

As expected, fans were furious about this small change, while they expected something impactful. Treyarch, however, did say that the perks will be balanced once again ahead of the new season as they continue to observe the data.

Alongside the Nerf, there were also a bunch of other changes including weapon balance, adjustment to the cooldown on going prone repeatedly, spawn issue fix, score streak adjustments, and a lot more. XP rewards are also adjusted to be based on player performance even if the team loses the match
