Upcoming multiplayer game 'Delta Force' will finally go into global open beta starting December 5. Developed by Team Jade and published by Tencent’s TiMi Studio Group, the game features both single and multiplayer aspects across two different time periods. The early impressions have led to players calling it a rival for the upcoming Black Ops 6.

Prior to this, the launch was referred to as early access, but with the move to open beta, the game will receive regular update with no more reset. The first season for the game ‘Genesis’ will also launch with the open beta.

“Thanks to the rapid progress of our development team and the positive reception we’ve had to our current builds, we're excited to announce that we're launching our Global Open Beta (previously called Early Access) on December 5th for PC! This is our initial release version of Delta Force, featuring full live-service content updates and no more progress resets,” the official statement said.

The beginning of the global open beta will also bring another big update, including new maps, game modes, weapons, vehicles and a new operator. Since the progress will not be reset, in-game microtransactions for battle pass and other content will also be available. The base game, however, will remain free to play.

A strict competitor to COD Black Ops 6?

While competition in great, there hasn’t been a true COD killer, despite many games being labelled as such by the players. Of course, Delta Force will also not ‘kill’ COD, but the free to play route will definitely bring a lot of players to the initial launch. The reason for this being COD killer is due to similarities in gameplay.

Ubisoft’s XDefiant also brought in a lot of players on launch, but the numbers aren’t as strong due to various reasons. Delta Force on the other hand has a huge advantage over XDefiant and that is Steam launch. One of the reason why, while not the biggest, is players having their games in a single spot.

Since the game also provide story campaigns free of cost, players have had an eye on the game. Paired with proper updates by the developers that keep the players interested, Delta Force will be able to compete with COD and other similar games.
