In a ‘Twistzz’ of fate, the PGL Copenhagen Major and Esports World Cup champions NaVi have faced defeat at the BLAST Premier Fall Groups by the hands of Team Liquid. This has left the team dropping to the lower bracket where they will be facing BIG.

Team Liquid recently made some changes to the team, adding mithR as the new coach along ultimate and jks to the playing roster after benching cadiaN and skullz. The new team has been quite effective and recently challenged Virtus.pro and defeated them 2-0. While the initial match dragged on for a triple overtime, the team managed to take down Virtus.pro.

NaVi started out great in the opening game, and it was looking like your average game against Team Liquid. However, Liquid clutched the second half with six back to back rounds and while NaVi was putting in some rounds, Liquid prevailed at the end.

The following match saw NaVi back in action, defeating Team Liquid with a huge margin. This brought the game to a decider where NaVi was the first one to see seven back to back rounds, while shortly after, Liquid equalized the score and went on to continue the rampage, ultimately sending NaVi on a trip to the lower brackets.

G2 Esports takes down FaZe in a reverse sweep

Group C saw G2 Esports defeat FaZe to reach the grand finals. After an initial loss in the opening game, G2 made a huge comeback. The last few months have seen G2 upping their performance, with NiKo getting back in form. On the other hand, FaZe have seen multiple upsets.

The first match saw FaZe defeat G2 on their own map pick without much of an issue. The second game, however, saw G2 come alive in the first half and kept up the performance until the end with a victory in their bag. FaZe dropped to the lower bracket against NIP and will have to secure a win to see the grand final.
