Back in 2018 when Rockstar Games released Red Dead Redemption 2, one of the co-founders of the company, Dan Houser how he was thankful that GTA 6 would not be released during Trump’s presidency. Six years later, GTA 6 is the most anticipated game released in 2025 and Donald Trump is back as the President of the United States.

“It’s really unclear what we would even do with it, let alone how upset people would get with whatever we did. Both intense liberal progression and intense conservatism are both very militant and very angry. It is scary, but it’s also strange, and yet both of them seem occasionally to veer towards the absurd. It’s hard to satirise for those reasons. Some of the stuff you see is straightforwardly beyond satire. It would be out of date within two minutes, everything is changing so fast,” Dan Houser said.

The statement now applies even more so, as the trailer for GTA 6 itself showcases almost half of the things that are Satire in nature. Maybe there is a Trump parody inside the game, but since things have changed a bit, that might get removed and players may not even find out about it for a few years.

Due to this, even some fans are worried that the game might see a delay. However, it is unlikely that Rockstar will delay the game they have been working on for this long. As per Take-Two Interactive, the game is on schedule for 2025 release and even if there is a delay, it will likely be a few months back to 2026.

GTA 6 release is going to be massive

Regardless of what the situation may be, GTA 6 is already shaping up as the biggest launch of 2025. So big that other games might reschedule their release if they release close to GTA 6. Even Take-Two is not releasing Borderlands 4 anywhere close to its release.
