Palworld is set to release another major update to the game and this time, players are getting a new island expansion with a unique biome alongside multiple new weapons to acquire and pals to capture.

The upcoming update was released during the IGN x ID@Xbox showcase through a short video. The video shows a cherry blossom field with torii gates and shrines on an island, giving the vibes of a Japanese expansion, which may not come as a surprise considering the developers at PocketPair are also from Japan.

New area to discover with pals and weapons

With the game being more intense, the players are getting new areas to explore with different biomes. Later into the trailer, one can see multiple new Pals. One of them looks like a martial arts frog, and another is a monk-looking fox, which blends in properly with the Japanese theme.

There is also an ostrich-looking pal and a brachiosaurus-looking pal. The names and skills of these pals are yet to be revealed. As for weapons, the player can be seen using a flamethrower and a new sci-fi gun to capture the new pals.

The announcement trailer was quite short, so it is possible that a lot more is coming in the update and may be revealed at a later date alongside the release date for the update. The last major update for Palworld added a raid boss and as per the developers, there are a lot more to come in the future. It is possible that players may also get something similar.

As of now, the only news we have about the update is that it’s coming this summer, which might be as soon as next month or early July. The community also seems to be thrilled about the announcement of new pals and areas to explore.
