Executive Producer of Overwartch 2 ‘Jared Neuss’ has left to studio to rejoin Riot Games. The industry veteran will now be working on Valorant as Senior Director as revealed in his recent LinkedIn post. Prior to his time at Blizzard, Neuss worked as Director of Production at Riot, working on League of Legends and Teamfight Tactics.
“This week I’ve embarked on a new adventure…with some old friends at Riot Games! I’m thrilled to re-join the studio that helped make me the game developer that I am today and I can’t wait to continue to learn and grow from the brilliant folks I’ll be working with in VALORANT Studio,” Neuss wrote in his post.
An impressive portfolio in gaming industry
If people think Blizzard and Riot Games are impressive, Neuss also had stints with Bungie, 343 Industries (now Halo Studios), and PopCap Games which tells a lot about his experience. These studios made some of the most popular games out there like Halo 5: Guardians, Destiny 2, and more.
After parting with Bungie, Neuss joined Riot as Product Manager on League of Legends. After spending four years with Riot, he was onboarded by Blizzard. His departure also comes following the most recent Overwatch 2 Spotlight event that introduces a lot of changes to the game including the new Perks system and the upcoming Stadium game mode. The community also bid him farewell and thanked him for his work.

Will Valorant also see some exciting changes?
Valorant itself is doing pretty well when it comes to player satisfaction. While Riot Games was recently under fire for removing Hextech Chests from League of Legends, the Valorant community seems to be doing fine. It remains to be seen what changes will come with him joining as Senior Director of the studio.
