No more story DLCs for Marvel's Spider-Man 2; Insomniac Games confirms

The announcement of the arrival of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 on PC was quite exciting for gamers. However, with the announcement, Insomniac Games also confirmed that there are currently no plans for a story DLC. This does come as a punch in the gut for fans who loved the story expansion in the first part and were hoping for something similar.

“While we have no additional story content planned for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, we’re delighted to bring all of our previously released post-launch content to the PC version, including New Game+, new suits and color variants, Photo Mode features, and more,” said senior community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza.

While there are currently no story expansions planned for Spider-Man 2, Espinoza reassured fans that other DLCs like costume collabs are still coming. This decision to not make a story expansion is understandable with the rumors regarding the development team focusing on Wolverine floating around.

Fans still hopeful

The story content for the first game, ‘The City That Never Sleeps’ was quite successful and fans were hoping to get something similar. Espinoza did not say there will be no future story content, or at least that’s what the fans hope, as plans might change considering remakes and remasters are in trend.

Regardless of what happens, PC gamers are still getting the sequel with all the bells and whistles like new game+, updated controls, and all content releases added to the game. The PSN requirement, however, is something to debate over.

Spider-Man 2 is set to release on January 30 and while the Steam page and details regarding the pre-purchase are already available, there is currently no news on the price of the game or the minimum/recommended requirements to have an enjoyable experience. The announcement revealed that more details will be available in the upcoming weeks.
