The PC launch of God of War Ragnarök saw a huge backlash from the community due to its PSN login requirement. However, the modding community is swift in releasing a mod that bypasses the requirement. The mod in a talk here is NoPSSDK, from iArtorias which allows players to enjoy the game how it was meant to be.
Despite being one of the best games ever released, the game saw mixed reviews on PC release which has now turned into mostly positive. PlayStation games on PC usually do not have any form of DRM but the PSN login requirement has made the game unavailable in over 100 countries. As such the only viable option is to pirate the game.
Those who do have the option to purchase can sometimes face issues with their PSN account or in the case of Europe, players are required to submit information like phone numbers, etc. The mod was a way to bypass all of this by stripping the PlayStation PC SDK runtime requirement.

Sony acts quickly to remove the mod
Originally, the mod was uploaded on Nexus Mods and GitHub, however, it seems that the immense popularity of the mod has attracted some attention. As of now, the mod has been removed from both websites or maybe even other websites, likely by PlayStation.
With the mod now taken down, an update will likely be pushed to once again restore the PSN login requirement and with seemingly no way to get an update, players will likely see the mandatory login once again.
The PSN login will likely be the norm moving forward for all PlayStation games, however, it remains to be seen if the recent bypass for the login requirement will for Sony to impose DRMs in future titles.
